Suggested itinerary -Japanese Spirituality-

The Kii Peninsula encompasses several regions: Wakayama, Nara, and the Southern part of Mie, and is considered both the place where Japan began as a nation, and the land from which its spirituality developed. Nature worship, Shintoism, and Buddhism are all found here, and even combined to create a profound syncretic set of beliefs and practices. It is both the origins and, for many, the heart of sacred Japan.
