Tenri Stamina Ramen

Discover Nara’s local flavors, personally recommended by Saki, a chief travel advisor born and raised in Nara. For this memorable first feature, we introduce Tenri Stamina Ramen.

Originating in Tenri City, Nara, this beloved local ramen is known for its rich pork-based broth, topped with stir-fried Chinese cabbage, garlic chives, and spicy bean paste. Finished with a punch of garlic, it delivers a bold, energizing flavor that locals simply can’t get enough of.

One of the reasons I love this ramen—beyond its incredible taste—is that you can customize it to your liking by adding extra garlic and spicy bean paste. As a garlic lover, I always go all in with the extra garlic.

On this visit, I ordered the stamina ramen topped with a seasoned egg and slices of tender chashu pork.

Just a 30-second walk from Kintetsu Nara Station, the closest station to Nara Park, you’ll find the Tenri Stamina Ramen. The restaurant is spacious and stroller-friendly, making it easy for families to visit. Free Wi-Fi and an English menu are also available, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for international guests. It’s the perfect lunch stop during your visit to Nara Park!
